Full-on vent of primal rage

It's shoreline roughly around 9am and I'm running around the resort looting my favourite spots and getting all the gear. Found a hatchet runner half way through his loot adventure which unfortunately for him came to an abrupt end as I put him down like a sick dog in just a few bullets. After my encounter I made my way to the East wing, I cross over passing through the glass walk way and then I heard it the doubled up footstep sound that we all dread so I quickly darted in the nearby room next to the stairwell. Footsteps above me and below were getting closer and closer, nades were dropped from the balcony above but I managed to evade the rain of fire by swiftly moving to the next room.

When the smoke cleared I moved back into the room where the Grenade was dropped to have that first angle. The footsteps were getting closer, two lots of steps, these guys knew exactly where I was. As the first one peaked I managed to offload approximately 17 rounds into his chest, neck and head. Disorientated by the encounter and taking only 2 rounds to the chest I moved into the room I originally took shelter from the grenade to push their flank. It was this moment I got a good look at the battle as the two were facing the doorway were the shots were exchanged and I had great side-view by pushing their flank. The first PMC I exchanged rounds with quickly took cover around the corner as he seen me push the flank and that left his buddy wipe open so I emptied my magazine into his side covering his upper body and head.

My armour piercing rounds could not stop these two and there I met my maker, with only 4 rounds to the left arm I dropped to the floor.

Aren’t armour piercing rounds supposed to go straight through unarmed targets? Sure they’ll hurt but no where near as much as mushrooming ones designed to cause massive blood loss.

Perhaps they had no armour making your bullets do nothing much?
