Senia
As a preface I am currently a level 36 USEC. I've been an EoD holder and regular player since April 1st 2017. This being said I count myself as at least a decent player by Tarkov standards. Anyways with that babble out of the way here we go. Anxious to earn some Roubles I dawn my equipment. A Gen 4 Assault Kit, Kiver Helmet/Face Shield, Tri Zip. Wartech MK3, Modified M4A1, and plenty of M995 and medication. I select night Interchange as I often do when visiting the Kiba store. I load in after the standard two minutes and I open my eyes to the pleasant surprise of a center spawn in the front lot. I'm overjoyed its finally my chance to run to my destination mostly unhindered. I saddle up and begin the sprint easily making it in the doors, up the escalator, and finally into the Kiba store. I close the doors turning to look into the open display case to claim my awaited prize. I hear a zip, the discharge of a PM, and the glass crack behind me. Startled I duck behind the display case and dispatch this threat. Taking yet another sigh of relief and go back around to continue my looting. Ten seconds pass and I turn feeling eyes on my back but I see nothing. The Interchange is quite dark and it seems even with my eyes adjusted it would be difficult to see more than a few meters. Then however there is boom. The glass cracks and I turn around emptying my magazine into my aggressor across the hall at the escalators to the second floor. However there is no effect my rounds seemed to have did nothing but irritate my target. There is yet another boom. The glass shatters and my leg buckles. As I lay there losing consciousness from the blood loss I hear "Divide my cheeks!" then everything fades to black. (In case you didn't really feel like reading my shitty little story hears the part where I explain my pile of poo I call a story. Basically I go into a night Interchange with the above gear, get to the Kiba store with little to no resistance and kill one scav through the glass. I turn back around to start looting again. A shotgun scav at the escalators to the left of the Kiba store if you are on the outside facing the door somehow spots me through the pitch black and tint of the glass and lets off a shotgun blast missing me. I see the muzzle flash and instinctively unload on him only for all of my bullets to Thanosed out of existence and the scavs second shotgun blast penetrating the glass and ending my life with one leg shot. Lost about 400k Roubles worth of gear and am now saltier than the Pacific Ocean. Moral of the story scavs are a bit OP at the moment. I don't really mind their accuracy because frankly if you're not standing still its not too bad but the real issue is there target acquisition which at this moment in time is inhuman. Beyond that fact they are scavengers civilians who took up arms. We are Private Military Operators trained in the art of war with the express purpose to kill. Generally speaking their skills should not hold a candle to any decent player. Cheers to reading my little rant and leave any opinions in the comments or just tell me I'm poo and I need to learn 360 degree security.) xsaintone
Feel You bro. Same opinion here. Scavs are now out of this world, as many of people prooved. Hopefuly BSG will finaly find the way to make them equal or a little bit more than a decent player. I dont mind competition and "skill showoff" against scavs but dem, right now its just ridiculous. middlefingerSKS
a scav with a shotgun is very dangerous right now. treat it as a scav with a shotgun-sniper rifle and stay under cover until you can kill him. also if a scav can see you through a tiny little crack they will shoot you, just like a player would. i've noticed with this new patch (0.10.7) that the flanking and taking cover by the scavs is working really well for them because i can't see them for shiiiit when they are blended into a derelict car or some brown/green garbage pile next to a barrel, yanno?
