FoxMackelson
So. I don't know a thing about BSG's Anti Cheat. Or even if there is one at all. I don't know a thing about hacking or modifying a game either. Nor does my friend. If anything. I have to explain to him my limited knowledge of modding a game like Skyrim. But that's besides the point. So here, my friend and I are hanging out in Discord, I'm doing homework and he's trying to boot up EFT, and every time it boots up to the loading screen, he said it crashed. He's got nothing running but Memory Cleaner, Discord, and YouTube. This happened for a couple days actually, and we just went "Oh well. Tarkov doesn't want you to play it. As usual." and went on to do something else. Then the other week, BSG flagged his account for a ban. Why? He has nothing on his computer to constitute a ban. I know players can get banned for having Cheatengine on their CPU without even using it, but I've been on his desktop before, and like, he's got the Blizzard Launcher and like 5 games, including EFT. We've both spent the money to get EoD, and put countless hours into this game over multiple wipes. Encountered pistol glitchers, aimbot hackers 1 shotting us each in under a second, facemask bugs, shot report bugs and you know - all the stuff that makes Tarkov the cheeki breeki bandaging simulator that it is... but never something like this. He's emailed them countless times now, and every time he sends an email, they send him a copy of the EULA, basically saying "You may have done nothing wrong, but oh well. Thanks for your 140-something dollars. Sucks to suck." Like wtf BSG? My friends and I play this game all the time, and hell. Sometimes it's not even fun. But this is YOUR beta test that WE are giving you data for. We're stress testing your game, helping you work out the numerous kinks, and for what, for you to ban my friend for doing nothing? What's next. Next time my game crashes on startup am I gonna get banned as well? Just something I'd like to share.
ShiroTenshi
BSG does not ban for nothing. Bans are manually reviewed before being applied, and only happen when they have enough proof to warrant a ban. The whole process goes through several stages which would all have to fail for a ban to be unjustified. In short, if he was banned it is because he did something. I understand you believe your friend when he says he didn't, but this also wouldn't be the first time someone lied to their friends when they are caught doing something they know they shouldn't be. Unfortunately bans are final and there is no appeal system, for now, and as such we do now allow appeals on the forums. #locked.
