DragunovCrux Posted December 15, 2018 Share Posted December 15, 2018 So this a concept, Based on the amount of force a round hits you (or a grenade close by), ignorant of armour, but factored by how closed the shot was (muzzle velocity), and the weight of the round (plus other physics that have to do with the amount of force applied to your body relative to center of gravity *a breath* because of the lever action of body mechanis). It will not cause damage. But, your character should be put on the ground on his back, his side, or flat on his face. Based on your strength, vitality and health - you will not be knocked down. You are able to get up, or roll over, but here is a 1 to 3 seconds (based on the previous parentheses). Gredeo Posted December 17, 2018 Share Posted December 17, 2018 Getting knocked over by bullets is a Hollywood concept. It's simple physics, every action has an equal reaction. F=MA and KE=1/2 MV^2 Meaning that the target will only be knocked back as much as the recoil knocks back the shooter. Sure the target may jerk or twitch because of involuntary muscle spasms caused by the bullet, but not as much as you'd think. Not even a .50 BMG send people flying. This is why aimpunch is in the game, to simulate the twitching when hit by a projectile. A bullet doesn't pack enough force to send people flying.
