Hardcore servers

One of my favorite parts or EFT is the early patch games where everyone is low gear. Maybe you guys could set up servers with a level cap or something along these lines, so that we can have that type of experience all of the time. I think these types of servers would also make high tier equipment that is found in game so much more valuable, and really press home the gear fear. Give the Topic some bumps if anyone agrees with me.

After a couple of weeks its too much focus on what ammo to use on what armour. If I see you first and shoot and score some hits you should go down. Not turn around like a bullet sponge and shoot back.

Except when you're in the bullet-sponging position and get hit you're gonna complain about armor not working correctly.
Back to the topic; I'd rather not see any kind of gear/skill-based matchmaking. The game is made with unfairness in mind, it's survival of the fittest. Either you adapt or you're dead.

Instead of shooting first you dont have to shoot at all. You can let them pass, you can run away, you can hide. Stop complaining about armor.

Armor is unbalanced, and by far not realistically. It would fit if we had bought an space-marine shooter settled in 2146, but right now, there is no realism behind that mechanic.

 

And tbh, what the op proposed has nth. to do with skill/gear based matchmaking, it's more about gaming experience with low level weapons. Some people just like it for the realism....realism for which EFT is advertising.

I like how they changed the game into what streamers community liked and now they kill all the streamers community from the game. Will it go back to a hardcore game now? Will it be empty and with nobody to shoot?

Yeah I was less concerned with fixing the match making based on skill and more interested in a more gear starved server. I just really enjoy those early day's of patch where everyone isn't running around juiced to the gills. Seeing a bunch of scrounged up guns. High level armor would be op as hell in a server like this. Good, gear fear bitches. Better make that armor count.
