Dretchen
Glad I only purchased the 44.00 version. Not worth trying to learn a game to meet end gear wearers while you are lvl 1. won't be playing this, have fun all that do..
SkyCloud
@Dretchen Tarkov wont hold your hand give you a cookie instead it will kick you in the nuts over and over again. You said you are new and there is much more to see in Tarkov. You shouldnt be tapping out this quick. Go to Looking For Group section to find friends to play together or you can try the sherpa program, they will teach you how to survive and adapt. https://www.escapefromtarkov.com/sherpa

Actual levels don't really represent real skill in this game. As do wipes happens, or players just resets their chars for example donig some challanges, so again they are starting from zero... Actually you can kill full geared player whatever his level is, but that depends on you, i am not saying it would be easy. You need at first to develop some tactics and strategies countering these kind of troubles. Tarkov learning curve is not the easiest one, but not that hard. Yes i also recommend to you get a sherpa, it will be way faster to learn this game this way.

The level might not mean that much in game but out of game it can earn you quite a bit, gear's the obvious thing but a new player facing said geared player isn't going to work out in their favor most of the time. Anyway Dretchen, I recommend you find a few people to play with (Or one of the new sherpa people if that's your thing) so you can learn while you play, having a buddy playing with you also helps with the disappointment of losing your gear. I would also recommend you watch one of the various streamers/youtube compilations, you'll pick up what gear is good and worth grabbing at the same time you're learning cheeky spots and ways to beat campers. Knowledge is key in tarkov, you can be a great player but all it takes is small advantage to level the playing field. Above all else though, you NEED to play the game we could always list tips and tricks to help you out in the long run but if you don't put the time in it's not going to make any difference. PS. I've always felt end of wipe is the best time to learn yeah you'll get stomped a-lot but if you get good at taking down tanks, imagine what you'll be like when wipe hits... Excilium
Fair enough, to each their own. Though do be aware you're missing out on a great game. I reset my account a few days ago and am still having a blast. There are plenty of people with high-end gear but it is still fun nonetheless. You might need a friend or a sherpa to really experience Tarkov though. Good luck, if you're serious about this you might wanna come back when there's a wipe. If you're still not having fun then maybe you're playing the game wrong or it's just not for you Edited December 22, 2018 by Excilium
thefirst1nvad3r
Maybe you just need to learn how to play Tarkov. It's quite different from other shooters. Here your equipment can literally change your plays drastically.

Yes level and loyalty status give you access to better gear. Yo may be fully geared with best armor but still you can die from a scav hand or from better players who have paca on them. And thats what i love about tarkov. World is as is, no "equality" matching. Expect unexpected. Edited December 23, 2018 by symbiote
