Memory leak crashes my game

Recommended Posts

Freya

First off my specs are:
i-5 4760
gtx 1070
16gb ram

Since there was a new patch i decided to reinstall the game to see what changed, i used to play this game a very lot with not many issues apart from the common ones such as fps drops, which improved around the interchange patch, but now most of the time when i load my map it crashes my game along with any other apps i have open such as my browser, spotify, discord etc, every now and then i get to play like 1 raid like today but anything more than that is just not possible, ive tried the ram cleaner but it doesnt really change anything, when i have my task manager open on my second monitor the game uses both most/all of my ram aswell as all of my gpu while loading into a map, which results in a crash. i already tried both verifying the integrity and reinstalling the game again without any results. i hope bsg can take a look at their code and improve this so i can play the game again

LUL.

@Freya I had similar issue, it was crashing me every 2-3 games when it was loading loot. What I managed to do to fix that was setting manually the page files to ~5-15gb on 2 SSD I have. Works fine, no crashes since then.

irstly you are going to want to go to https://wj32.org/wp/software/empty-standby-list/ and download the .exe.

Go to your task scheduler in windows.

Click create task (on the right)

Name the task emptystandby list

Change the configure for to your version of windows and tick to run with highest privileges and hidden (at the bottom)

Click Change User or Group, advanced, find now and then at the bottom scroll down to SYSTEM and click it then click ok.

Click the triggers tab at the top and create a new task, set this task to repeat every 5 minutes and set how long you want this running for. I recommend that you set it to run indefinitely but don't forget to stop running it when the memory leak is fixed

Click the actions tab and click browse, then goto wherever you downloaded the .exe and select it and click ok.
