headsets

What if we had the option to turn them on or off?? Would that be hard to do? I would imagine it would not be harder than say single to auto fire? It would make the game much more enjoyable, you would only use them when you needed and not crunch crunch  crunch  every step you and your teammates made for your entire raid.

I would really like this, I struggle to get used to them and just sell them, if I could turn them on/off I would use them more.

But guys... As far as I know you only could turn off the sound amp in the real ones. And sometimes, if they are attached to a FAST helmet they could be elevated from ears. But, again, if you deactivate them your sound voulumen  must be lowered as if you wear some helmets which cover the ear part. So, I think we are aiming here to realism and every omprvement in that direction should be considered. But not the opposite.

If you turn them off then they turn into closed-air earmuffs that blocks out all sound.

Some helmets block sound as well, I would take that trade off. Some maps like shoreline or woods I only need my hearing enhanced in certain parts of the map. @NoisyCosmos In 2019 you don't think we possess the tech to have a switch on our headsets?? Humm seems even my old Walkman cassette player has more options than that

On headsets for construction workers you can turn off the high noise canceling making you hear everything normal.
I'm sure military grade headsets have come up with a feature where they don't just turn into ugly earmuffs when turning them off

I think you didn't understand me. Maybe was my fault as English is not my native language. I said that the switch is real, those headphones have one. But you can't just switch the button and pretend to listen like if you weren't wearing them. That was my point. And of course, the headphones accesories for FAST helmet let you elevate those.
