New boss: Boris the Slasher

At first everyone just regarded him as an urban legend that was used to terrify kids and stop them
from wandering the streets of Tarkov at night, a 'Baba Yaga' no one was really sure even existed.

No one has ever seen his face or heard him speak but everyone knows who he is, however the locals refuse to talk about him.
The very mention of his name causes even the toughest scavs like 'Reshala' to tremble with fear.

There have been many reported sightings of Boris throughout Tarkov after dark, people have caught
glimpses of him hiding in bushes, dark corners and behind bins.

Many who have wandered into these areas alone one night have not been seen alive again. Even locals who know the area very well and walk through frequently.

Many of the bodies of the unfortunate souls who fell victim to this mysterious silent killer that have turned up have one thing in common, they always show a
very clean knife wound to the neck. Others however have never been seen again and well... there's only rumors.

Some say he may be connected to that strange cult, that he may be taking these victims as sacrifices.
But its all just speculation, none of the rumors have been confirmed.

No one knows what his goal is. But what we do know is when wandering Tarkov alone at night,
if you think you've seen him in the corner of your eye,
be ready to defend yourself or be ready to run.

I would piss my pants in RL when I heard a soft cackling (in Slavic folklore Baba Yaga is portraid as a female) somewhere behind me while moving through the swamp on Shoreline at night.

In Slavic folklore, Baba Yaga (Russian: Баба Яга) is a supernatural being (or one of a trio of sisters of the same name) who appears as a deformed and/or ferocious-looking woman. In Russian fairytales Baba Yaga flies around in a mortar, wields a pestle, and dwells deep in the forest in a hut usually described as standing on chicken legs. Baba Yaga may help or hinder those that encounter or seek her out and may play a maternal role and has associations with forest wildlife. According to Vladimir Propp's folktale morphology, Baba Yaga commonly appears as either a donor, villain, or may be altogether ambiguous.
