Shaktimaan
After the hideout is done, Predator's tasks will keep it fresh, and sort of act like daily or weekly quests. Also maybe he can be added in as a Trader who happens to have limited stock of locked trader items or special loot only items which are randomized per trader reset? It is also possible to use his trader rep to use as a barter currency, which will act as a "favor being paid" sort of ordeal. Maybe he will do some quests for you as a return to his past favors, or a part of a quest or deliver some quest items which he happens to have. Daily or weekly quest tiering can also be done with him. Say you complete 5 tasks in a row, you will progress to the next tier. If you fail to complete his quests he might put in a bad word with other traders or talk poo about you to other traders, or just give you a slap on the wrist and deduct some rep/favour points. Maybe with a certain task, you need to clear a gang of scavs at the construction site, like a hit contract , and that special gang of scavs will only have a chance to spawn IF someone in the raid has the task enabled. Maybe a drugs convoy is making it's way out of woods, and you have Intel on when the drug convoy is going to be at a certain location. That poo will be cool, because other players might happen to randomly stumble upon the convoy and all sorts of poo is possible. For those familiar with Path of Exile, consider him a Zana for Tarkov. I try to keep upto date with everything BSG is doing but I guess I missed this. Can I get a quick run down. Also what's his purpose.
Shaktimaan
He is a programmer/lead character from the EFT book series. Now i don't want to spoil details regarding the book, but Spoiler he was a system's administrator who worked for Terra Corp. He was working overtime(lived in the office for a week or so during that time) when the poo hit the fan, and the book is about his survival story and how he became "The Predator". It's a cool read lorewise =) literally my first which i've finished ever, and i re-read it from time to time. Can't wait for the translation of the second book. Oh and if any of the devs/employees are reading this, would you mind giving us an update regarding the English translation of the book? I for one sure would appreciate it. kaktus050
Nice idea in general! I am not big fan of daily quests. I associate it with trivial games, and purpose for that is only keep player run game every day. Instead of this, is suggest monthly complex quests. It will be not quick to finish, and in most cases finishing it can take many hours of playing. I see this as few regular quest in row, but reward you get only by finishing it all in period of month. And it will be great if player make choice. For example, NPC can offer you take on one of 5 quests with different difficulty level. If you are new player, best option is easiest task with worst reward. If you think, you can try some harder quest with more benefit reward, then you can try, but you take a risk to not finish it in time. According to consequences after finishing quest or fail it, we have good system on flea market. When you complete task, your reputation raise, and when you failed, then it fall. Reputation determine how many tasks can you take in one month. Off course, all my ideas works with daily and weekly tasks, but as i said at the beginning, i am not big fan of first one.
