No Melee Damage?

So every time I try to hit anyone with a melee attack, it will make the noise of me hitting them, maybe some blood-splatter, but they don't take damage, scav or not.

In offline I sat behind a scav and whacked him in the back of the head 10 times before just shooting him. I also have a recording of me hitting a scav a few times with the axe and the end screen not saying I did any damage.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I have experienced this. I just sum it up to low damage output. I use the sword or whatever and even then they tank melee hits.

I use guns, never tried melee, as the game has guns, these big angry looking thingy's that shoot these little thingy's and put holes into stuff.

Melee is this game is pretty crap, I would just buy ANY handgun or just do your scav run if you need to hatchet
