Semi open world - The real escape

I am not read up on what the final vision for EFT is, so this might be completely irrelevant, but I'll try to keep it somewhat short to just give you the gist of what I am thinking here.

I have thought about this type of multiplayer experience since I played Shadow of Chernobyl for the first time. A big disclaimer here is that I don't know much about coding, but I don't see how what I am about to suggest would need much of a boost performance-wise, or extensive coding.

It's quite simple. A start to finish raid, where the start would be the Streets Of Tarkov, and the finish is the Terminal. A couple of "crossroads" would be needed, meaning more locations on the world map, and dotted lines between these locations that does not follow the linear path we see now.

The option to choose starting gear for this escape should be somewhat limited, e.g. the gear you bring from your stash would have a cap to how much all of it is worth if you were to sell it all to the best paying traders, or something like that. This would mean you'd have to prioritize armor for firepower, headset for size of backpack, etc.

You start on the streets of Tarkov, just like any other raid. You can spawn in solo or as a crew. When you exfil, chosen exfil will determine what location you travel to next. In between these location you can enter the character menu as you normally do, but you will not keep anything you leave in the "stash" once you move on. Different traders will be available in between different locations, and in some places not at all. This means you have to choose wisely what loot to focus on considering what trader you will have access to, your health, and so on. You might even feel the need to backtrack to reach a specific trader.

The goal is escaping from Tarkov, obviously. Reaching the Terminal for your final extraction.

I am going to address the only real issue I see here, which is; What if you lose a friend half way through this extensive escape? Well, if your friend dies at Interchange and the rest of your crew exfils towards Customs, you can choose to hold off there and let your buddy catch up. If he manages to reach the same exfil, or another exfil that puts him one the same path between locations as you, you will have the option to team up again, to join the same Customs server.

The real escapists and other single raid players will play on the same servers, but escapists and single raiders can not team up.

Escapists, as I will now to call players going for the full Escape From Tarkov exerience, are playing as their PMC, but all progress is latent until you finally extract at Terminal, or is wiped if you die along the way.

If you want to take a break from your real escape and do a single raid while your fallen buddy is trying to catch up, you can. But the stats you acquire are not added to the escapist in real time, so to speak, and whatever gear you brought for the escape will be locked to that character.

So why would you go for this game mode? Because it's bloody awesome, and if you manage to escape you will receive your own dog tags, with Escaped From Tarkov engraved, as a valuable token, and all the experience gained on the escape times two... maybe three.

Maybe this is obvious as hell, and what everybody expects in the end, but I am putting it out there anyways (as I haven't seen it anywhere).

Thoughts?

We will see but the description of BSGs current final concept would work just like STALKER series. Which lines up to yours. How hideouts will work or mid raid is my biggest question.

Whether or not they allow you to resupply without returning to your hideout is the biggest mystery to me.

I know they will have persistent medical/food/health statuses but right now if you are forced to bring as much ammo as you think you are going to use rather then now where you just replenish supplies after each raid with no problems. Brings up the topic how accessing traders will work as well. At the hide out I can see it working like it does now but if you dont return back to it after each map they could give them actual locations as a relief while you move through tarkov.

My guess is the hideouts will be accesible trough every map but its the same hideout everytime, meaning the one you upgraded, been in etc.

Wonder if the wheeled bunker doors on maps will have some connections to this (for example: bunker on woods)
