DanExert Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 Hi all, Due to the outstanding community feedback on a topic I created in Jan 2018, I've decided to once again compile as much knowledge and imagery as I can in order to paint a picture on what we can look forward to this year, and subsequent years of Escape From Tarkov. For those interested, I have included the link for the previous topic at the bottom of this post! Many of this is most likely common knowledge amongst the more seasoned players, though after a good year of development and many more teaser images it's time to help inform a new generation of Escapers I would also recommend new players to read up on the lore in one of the below sections; Tarkov has a fantastic story and there are plenty of materials to enjoy whilst we wait for the 2nd book to be translated (ETA on that at all? Excited for it!) Please, do not use this topic as a source, it is merely a compilation of info and images supplied by BSG over the past couple of years. I will link official topics from where materials have been sourced, down below. DISCLAIMER - this is all speculation, and has had zero input from the developers. It is merely an unofficial collection of ideas and images and should not be cited as reference material for future game content. Some of this information may be outdated and/or superseded; if this is the case, please let me know with sources and I will happily edit and embed links where necessary. All materials and text are included for interest purposes only and are not intended to mislead or misinform the community. Mechanics: Spoiler - Each map will have a scav Boss (or even two) maybe beside Factory (No scav boss at all) - Next map -> Military base - Streets of Tarkov will be a huge map with two scav bosses (most likely) - Laboratory will be accessable via Streets of Tarkov so players will have to start in Streets of tarkov, find Labs, go into it, then go out from Labs and extract from Streets of Tarkov. - Loot will be nerfed Player might gonna be able to call "Aid" via flares/radio (example somekind of Raiders to help him) - Moving most/all trader to the barter trading (Russian podcast) - Adding "economic events to traders/maps" i.e. No/very limited amount of x thing for x time, for example no Ak ammo on traders for x period of time (russian podcast) Kiba getting alarm New Trader "Leshy" Advanced Medical Items Animations such as sitting down planned etc. To sit down at a campfire with friends etc (thats what i mentioned that such cosmetic changes will be done at the end/after final relase) Binoculars confirmed - 4 different types Compasses confirmed - 3 different types Companion App being developed. Will be able to access your stash from it. Re-locking doors function. Breaking doors down coming. Might be stealth patched It is possible that in the future that we may see up to 30-60 players in one map Stationary gun emplacements on maps Working stationary weapons (HMG, GMG) Karma system Periodic quests/tasks, daily/weekly/monthly etc Multiple Scav factions ‘Marked’ cult faction UN and RUAF NPCs VOIP BEAR English voice over lines Faction-specific quests Possibility to create multiple characters (currently 3) Dynamic player character condition / dirtying, scars etc GPS, a manual thermal imager, rangefinder, binoculars, monocle, use of optical sights as binoculars, rocket launcher Bipods Booby-trapping of bodies and containers Different prone positions i.e. sideways, legs forwards possibly. 'Something they'd like to do' Stair traversal and character animations rework Door opening/breaching with shotgun/tomahawk Persistent health (out of raid) and drug dependencies/addictions Unconscious state Moving/carrying of bodies/allies First aid to others (?) Hideout Item crafting system New types of exits from locations: "There will be locations with no permanent exits, where you will need to use the flares to enable the extraction, thus attracting attention of everybody in the vicinity. Pre-purchase special exits in advance, before the start of the raid." (Reddit Roadmap) Weapon paint Ageing of weapons/weapon visual wear and tear Moving of weapon sights along the rail Leatherman Multi-tool - modification of weapons in the field, potential removal of barrels etc. IR markers - attach to gear for potential IFF method? Leaving in enemy positions for friendlies to find? Character customisation - head, chest and legs (0.12) Open world - after completion of 10 initial raids/scenarios (still the case?) And here you have reasons "having such servers will be expansive, but having such servers on the side of users (they create them) might give crap quality and they want to have such thing, alos they wanna have as much features as possible in offline mode, so they have idea and will try out "cheaper but still good solution for that". Keep truckin' homie! Only suggestion I would make for future posts, labels on some of the pictures or a small number overlay indicating what the pictures are supposed to represent.
