Pezzo1
Pretty accurate especially for the late quests
Akeelagi
i dont mind them making the game harder or anything, go for it. but actually make the game harder dont artificially make lvl'ing harder by adding in stupid stuff like, kill scavs with headshots with a shotgun. even the big youtubers have said this is the worst lvl'ing wipe so far. PimpMyWiki
Tasks that optional busy-work and aren't specifically storytelling "main quest" should be more parameter varied, somewhat like daily/weekly quests in other games, where if you don't like one of them you can maybe clear it and get a different one generated. Note that there's a big divide between the quality expected from sidequests, and randomized content. Right now it feels like many of the simpler optional tasks belong in the "daily" category, though others stand on their own as a mini-tale of Tarkov. schan1027
Well, I would say at this moment they probably don't have a team of level designers. With all those major games that we've played, we can easily tell the difference. The story, the flow and difficulty are all carefully designed by level designers who specialize in this area. For EFT, it's currently like just toss in a bunch of quests for them to do first while we busy working on the critical aspects of the game. That kind of makes sense to me from a resource perspective but again quite a lot of these quests right now are just created by head scratching and not making sense. Why would I like to confront an assault rifle with a bolt action with a distance of 15m? Killing PMC with pistol only is more or less the same as using a melee weapon only. Their intent is quite obvious though, with the lack of end game, they try to prolong your playing, in a painful way. Unlike other games which are easy at the beginning and get harder and harder, EFT is exactly the opposite, without proper armor and decent weapon, you will have difficulty surviving even the AI encounters, not to mention you can queue up with any player that's either beginner like you or armed to the teeth. This nature of the game has already scared most of my friends away, before they even know that there are quests that will stop them from leveling up their traders. I guess this will only seem to improve when EFT goes live and have proper level/quest designer team rather than coders to make the quests. They can make some of them achievements rather than obstacles early in the game because after a couple wipes, I'm really sick of doing those over and over again as I took no pleasure in it at at all. pearomaniac
I understand the point behind a quest where you need to collect 10 cans of food or 10 medic kits or 10 bottles of water, that all makes sense and is usable in Tarkov, but quest where you like need to collect 10 ushankas are literally rubbish, what the hell are you gonna do with ushankas, open a hat store?
