Player SCAV penalty

Iam tired of this crap. Almost 4 years  and still no penalty for killing another SCAV players.

If You kill a SCAV player you wont be able to make a scav run for 24h easy as that and if You will keep doing that just extend this time.

Dont tell me it will be fixed in 0.12 because 0.12 will come at least in 2020. 

Another milestone and still game is not ready for even beta release.

scav players are retarded. they would rather kill you for a pistol instead of trying to kill the people that are geared on the map.

Do think there needs to be some changes. If someone is running around shooting other scavs, you should be able to shoot them without being registered as "hostile" by other scavs. Past that, everything is fair game : P.

Its stated on loading screens that scavs live by dog eats dog rule. Everything is fair game for the ravenous.

Vary much true this they have said, the only Fix was the fact you can now defend your self and the npc scavs wont blow you away now. The fact of the matter is this tho, Humans are greedy, childish, selfish beings. They will not work together unless there is a true goal or something in it for them self. IF you have been playing video games nearly as long as anyone else here has you would know this, Take a look at RUST of any of those other free roam games were there isn't a dame thing stopping you from killing your fellow man.

Untill we get VOP ingame expect every player scav to kill you Or if you want to be nice and hope they wont shot you first. Because if you haven't noticed yet some of the npc's scavs now carry two weapons? that's meant to help protect player scavs who want to work with them from the ones who want to tap you in the head to take your slightly better load out.

 

As far as them 'fixing' the scav on scav violence i could only hope when they add the faction component to it, there will be a better reward for playing with other player scavs rather then just killing them.

They have solved this issue, we no longer get flagged as hostile anymore for defending yourself now. But We now have a range at with the scavs will now agro on that player so if he kills them beyond that range, of other scavs they will not agro on him. and he can go on as if it never happened and do it again.

You misunderstood me. If a player scav is shooting every scav he sees, its a sure bet he will shoot at you. If you shoot a player scav that is already killing scavs, but has not damaged you yet, other scavs turn hostile to you.

Got ya, got ya. Yes this is something with needs to be fix but as i pointed out above. IF he kills those scavs he isnt flagged by ever scav on the map any more so there will need to be more coding for a flagging system like what your talking about.

You misunderstood me. I was being sarcastic after OP posted his first comment. You could have noticed that when you read my second post. But I see how you could misread that.

I totally agree with what you said. Human nature is a devious thing indeed. Even when VoIP hits in 0.12 (I hope) people will still kill other scavs for a shitty pistol. And since you referenced Rust, VoIP will not be the holy grail. In some cases it will be nice and result in something positive, but in reality it will mostly be cursing, yelling, trolling, lying, etc. I will most likely disable VoIP for this reason.

Also, don't just asume you played games longer than me, you are probably very wrong. Rust is for the weak! I'm a veteran in the most brutal MMO out there

It vary well could have happened, It is in human nature to read and take context from things and not completely understand it until more information comes to light, But in this context i was actually agreeing with you.

This is vary much true, But i can still hold the hope players will bring the lighter side to the game rather then the darker side of gaming, I have been around the block a few times in many older games from Dark age of camalot, Shadow bane and even rune scape but no matter what game we play there will be a small toxic pool of players who will yell scream and troll because they can and there is no recourse for it. I even try to add people who kill me to give them a GG text and try and learn alittle about were they killed me from so i can learn to check locations like them, only to eather get blocked entirely or get trolled on for being a scrub.

and as far as making an ass of my self, my reference was more pointing at the last fifteen year decline of video games as a whole, Not quite how long you have been playing. So forgive me on this behalf

No need to apologize since you did nothing wrong. We both suffered from some minor defects in our communication. Lets just put those aside and focus on our common ground, which turn out to be pretty large.

Again I agree with you. It would be a delight to see people treat a game like a game and play nice together. This is why I wholeheartedly hope that everyone will be happy with VoIP and they only use it for the power of wholesomeness. Some taunting and jesting is ok with me, but sadly some people just can't help but revert to the little spoiled suburban brats they are. And I do realise that it's just a small group, most of them being here on the forum judging from some comments (you know who you are!), that is very loud and not all that intelligent.

Nice to see that you are an experienced gamer as well. For me, lets just say that I played on a Philips Videopac G7400 as a kid.

I have similar thoughts about games nowdays. But I hope you forgive me for not completely agreeing with you on the decline of games as a whole. I feel that the decline you talk about is mainly aimed at the AAA video game industry, looking at you EA (and similar greedy corporate scumbags and shareholders of other AAA companies). These big companies might ruin everything for us gamers. All because the want all of the money, and after that they still want more money, and they want it on a regular basis.

But on the other hand, on PC at least, I see a lot of fantastic games and a lot of creativity. You just have to look past the money hungry companies and their fancy trailers that are filled with lies and are nothing like the end product. A few fantastic recent(ish) games that come to mind are (at least for me they were/are pretty amazing): The Missing: J.J. Macfield and the Island of Memories, Senua's Sacrefice, Gris, Forgotton Anne, Subnautica, Gorogoa..... I could go on for a while. So I choose to remain positive about at least part of this industry.
