Points from a returning player

Hello Tarkov community.

I played this game in 2017 from one wipe to another then quit because i didnt wanna re-do everything again right away so i waited an decided to return for this wipe. All in all i think the game have progressed into a more interestíng experience in most aspects. De-sync was a major issue last i played for example but i am not experiencing this now. The Flea market is truly an amazing addition to the game.

Instead of praising all the things i like wich are many i will talk a little bit about what i think need some work. Keep in mind that this is my opinions and i will also explain why i think what i think. So this is in no shape or form a rant, its my attempt at constructive feedback.

* The sound of your own soldier moving around is a tad too loud, it feels exaggerated and it makes me nervous to move just because of how loud it is. it sounds like i have a mic on my shoes wired to a pair of headphones on my head. Turning it down slightly will make for a more comfortable experience imo.

* Quests are becoming less and less immersive with strange requirements such as "kill x amount of player at x meters using x weapon" and "kill x amounts of scavs while wearing a fleece hat". As a game that tries to dip into the RPG genre i think immersion is very important and the immersion of the game is my favourite thing about it. The trick is to find quests that will slowdown progression without messing with immersion. It requires more work then pigeonholing players into certain strange requirements, i realise that, but this is imo one area of the game that deserves a lot of work and attention. Diversity and choice of approach is key in any game that is supposed to bring the player an immersive and RPG-like experience.

* Progression is not smooth, looking through skiers quests on the wiki the hardest one, the one that would require the most skill is a very early quest and crucial to progressing the trader and to eventually unlock Peacekeeper quests. I'm talking about Stirrup where u have to kill PMCs with a pistol. Its hard for us lesser skilled players. I realise that both the devs and this community want this game to be a hard and punishing experience, i respect that but a smooth progression path is critical to keep a larger playerbase, and any online game is dependent on a healthy playerbase. This also falls into my first argument of immersion.

* The AI in this game do not feel like a natural scav, they feel like just what they are, an AI. A Robot basically able to spot u and lock on to you through trees, sometimes through walls, through pitch black darkness and other times they are both blind and deaf.

Thank you for reading and hopefully we can have a constructive discussion in this thread without flaming 😃
