New patch. Player experience and difficulty

Hi there.

Just came back for the new patch. Seems great on paper. However, somehow I feel I have to learn to play all over again. How to move, where to go and look. Prior, I had a survival rate of 50-70% depending on how carefull I was. Except, factory. That was a fest of random.  Now, zero succes. Feels like the first time I started playing. I came back after a month or two. Couldnt have unlearned that much. Maybe a lot of experienced players came back for the new patch?

Anybody else experiencing that?

Yeah, I kind of get what you mean. I feel the same, in a lesser degree, when I haven't played for a few weeks. But when you have been away for a while I can imagine it feels like a new game.

Don't forget that we are at the start(ish) of a new wipe cycle and the game has changed. The meta is different than before, a lot more people are playing, the scavs have been updated (or reset according to some), new content has been added, etc. So it can take some time to get back in the saddle.

Just give it a bit of time, fiddle a bit with your playstyle, maybe play a bit more carefull than you did before you left. You will get the hang of it eventually

Gotta got some practice in the offline mode from the last patch. Its great.
