michaelk1
my favourite style is sniping, laying in grass is terrible, it renders in your face, obscures your view, and at more than 20m its not visible anymore and your laying in open ground. a scav was able to spot me threw grass and shoot at me, giving away my position. knowing the flaw with ground clutter i tend to look for a surface that doesnt highlight me threw the horizon, to reduce my visibility at distance. id love a gillie aswell, having rifles that work better at prone position penalizes you because of the grass. are there any devs working on solving the ground clutter issue. if grass cant render the entirety of the surface visible, maybe just remove it?. i absolutely loved the snipers in that tarkov movie btw. Zybane
Yes that is one of the major problems with the game. In order for it to run for people using potato computers, they limit the grass draw distance. So when hiding in tall grass at distance in real life would be extremely good cover, in games like EFT and PUBG it's the worst (no) cover. Oh and SCAV's shooting through grass and bushes will always be a problem. From what I can tell, grass and bushes doesn't effect SCAV line of site and you will get killed from somewhere you can't even see. Just the other day I had a scav run down the hill next to me and lay prone, totally invisible shooting me through the grass.
