I have an idea what if you add to hideout some interactions like you must build PC from items you found in raid like CPU fans GPUs , etc. and start own bitcoin mining ? it can be greate way to looking for new items in raids not just for selling and changing for armors and weapons. Miners will work only when you are logged in and  make 1 BTC per hour in game or more. and then you can save your BTCs on HDD and make them physical by exchanging BTC HDD with mechanic for physical bitcoin. Its just an idea but it will be great and make game economic more live.

You will be able to upgrade your hideout with materials that you have to gather, and don't quote me, but I think they also said that you will be able to mine bitcoins, as well as craft ammo and meds etc.

In old podcast or QaA it was mentioned that you will be able to create your own "bitcoin farm in hideout", but we don't know for sure if the idea survived.

Also we just know that hideout will have x (around 10 i think, not sure tho) modules, where each will be upgradeable so we can guess what will be there. 
I mean:
Some sort of kitchen (to restore food/water after raid?)
Medic area (to heal after raid)
Training area (increase skills)
Stash (EoD will start with maxed stash there)
Shooting area (to train our aim, it wouldt waste our ammo, it's just for practice)
And as above said, we also will be able to craft ammo.

So once in podcast they mentioned around 10 modules, and i guess that +- mentioned 5 mine will be in the hideout, but there are still 4-5 missing, so bitcoin farm might be still there :P.
