Question regarding scav mechanics and Server time

Hello, I'm curious about scavs. If I were to shoot and kill one, would they not attack me if they weren't in range of the gun shot, or in sight? I also want to confirm that killing a player scav will mark me as hostile to all scavs.

Server time: Is each server only a Player cycle / Scav cycle, meaning it runs for lets say an hour, then after x amount of time the scavs spawn in, then it is over? Or does the server run constantly, meaning that towards the end of my PMC Run, I could potentially find new player PMCs spawning in, any info would be greatly appreciated.

I wasn't able to find any of this out on google which is what brought me to the forums, thanks for reading.

Hi mate.

If you are PMC and shoot scavs or player scavs (They are the same team) the rest will get aggressive. The ones on the other side of the map though, I dont know.

The Raid time goes for 49 minutes lets say on Customs. 6-12 players will spawn in at the very start (when you see the count down timer) and there is a cut off point that I dont know that wont let any other PMC's join. Player Scavs can join anytime technically, but generally at the start and middle. The AI scavs spawn in waves.

Around 5 mins in, probably around half way, and generally; thats it.

Hello, the aggro I was unsure about, thank you for confirming. I'm kinda curious about how AI Aggro works and how they AI "Knows" if you're an enemy or not, because I've downed scavs before where other scavs didn't shoot at me, and these were the clearly obvious npc scavs. This is also a more than once occurrence so I know something triggers and untriggers your hostility marker be it intentional or unintentional.

As for the servers I knew on factory the scavs would spawn in waves at the 30, 20, and 13-10 marker, but I wasn't sure about server lengths. So i'm guessing after the last player  scav extracts on a server or dies, that server shuts down? Or is it by time, like 1.5 hours after the server is created it drops.

The scavs that are immediately in the area/scav spawn will be aggro'd to you but not the whole map.  So for example, in shoreline if I'm playing as a scav and I kill the scavs at pier, the scavs at power station or anwhere else on the map will not be aggro'd to me.

I don't know about factory though because it's such a small map.  I automatically assume that all scavs are against me the moment I shoot one in factory.

PMCs will spawn in either in a fresh raid or within 2 minutes.  Player scavs will spawn in ~6-8 minutes into a raid when the fighting is fresh then the second wave of player scavs at ~12-15 minutes.  Just my observations though.

As far as I've seen the scav aggro tends to be linked to the "Pack" of scavs that spawn, scavs usually spawn in groups of 2-4, if you kill one in that group, the rest will be aggressive, I've killed scavs in the factory area of customs right near the hole in the wall, but the scavs in the sniper tower and near the military checkpoint weren't aggressive, I'm assuming because they weren't part of the other scav's group.

Hope that helps
