BuffCommander
Hey Lads, I'm brand new to the game, I've been watching people play EFT on twitch and youtube for a while now. I've watched quite a few guides on how to play and believe me it's helped a lot. But I seem to be having trouble actually "seeing" other players in foliage. In factory its pretty easy, they're right there in front of you. But when I play customs, I'll hear shots, try and find who made them, sneak around where I think they are, and nothing. I finally just start walking at a normal pace, keeping my eyes out, and then I usually end up getting killed from a bush. Am I just being too hasty? I know there's a level of stealth and finesse to the game, but I can't sneak around the entire level. I'm just finding it difficult to see those players, it could be that they're further away with scopes, but still. Maybe it'll come with time. rav91
its just a matter of knowing the maps and common spots/routes. yeah its often difficult to pinpoint sounds especially with ingame headsets.
Haxwell
Are you localizing the sound you hear? By that I mean, when you hear the sound of some action or gunshots or whatever, do you spin your character around until the sound you are hearing is localized and leveled in front of you? I found that switching to that system of gaining info from sound gave me much more accurate ideas of where my enemy was. Leaving it to my brain to take the audio in and just sort of approximate where they are was getting me into a lot of trouble. Example: You hear a gunshot? While it's still ringing out/echoing, spin your character around real fast and listen for what direction the sound registers through both headphones the most clearly.
