EOD upgrade

I currently own the standard edition, but after a year I think I want to upgrade to EOD, specially with the discount thats coming up, but I have a question, if I decided to buy the upgrade with the discount, as gift and send it to another account, would I still be able to take advantage of the 25% discount and the discount from already owning the standard account? Because if thats actually possible, I would just gift the upgrade to a different account and give this one to a friend.

Firstly you'd have to buy a full new game at the discount, Secondly I'm not 100 percent sure you can give someone an account you've already used. This has caused problems for people in the past and has resulted in them losing the account.

Personally I think you'd have to upgrade your current account and gift a new account to your friend. If you give them your account that you have used before it might result in you losing the account; this might be covered in there terms of service.
