Jeffpogany Posted May 11, 2019 Share Posted May 11, 2019 Hi ive been playing EFT for 5 months and i have maybe 10 hours of pmc action to show for it most of which was in offline mode for practice and map knowledge the other half of my time as pmc was spent trying to find interesting encounters with fellow pmc's of which half the encounters were met with unsure peace of mind. This has been impossible for me to manage as a player scav on any of the maps every single player scav i encounter attacks me on site most of the time i dont even feel the need to immediately return fire instead i run almost everytime because i know that player doesnt has jack in his crap sack worth killing for so why even waste the bullets when im almost guaranteed a standard Aks74u just from peacefully looting weapon crates often times i find two Assault carbines by the end of my scav run all i am asking for is to play my scav the way i would want to play without accomplishing the same exact result everytime being my immanent death from a lurking player scav and not by a PMC who are intended to be my true threat. In my personal opinion simply tallying time penalties toward scav on scav violence is the sufficient incentive to mitigate the temptation of murdering a fellow scav. I think the player should be penalized for injuring or killing both ai and player scavs most severely against other players, so maybe like 2.5 minutes for injuring AI 5 minutes for killing plus the 2.50 minutes and scav on scav should be doubled in penalties 5 minutes for injuring and 10 for murder. I think playing as the player scav who is receiving fire from another player scav there should be a good incentive for that player to retreat and not engage just for the kill but only to save there own life in exchange for a small five minute penalty so i figure maybe if you are injured first and return fire and it gets you the kill you could receive only half the full time penalty while player who injured you can receive the full penalty for the simple intent of killing one of your own. I figure if this is made a stack-able penalty for player scavs only it could reduce the amount of both ai and players scavs being killed by other player scavs. Personally i enjoy this game the way it is but its obvious to me that scavs are not able to do what they are intended for and it saddens me to know that no scav experience counts toward my progression in a meaningful way not even metaphorically as i learn from each death, death as a scav means nothing yet i feel like it should be more then just a free loot run. I would love it if BSG redeseined scavs as a collectable survivor of some kind that you can play as so long as he lives with his own stats and inventory. I could not care less about having my own separate scav stash maybe as a unique storage system so it would not be overpowered and if that scav dies you lose access to his small stash forever. Escape from tarkov is the most difficult tactical shooter to master as well as almost being equally as hard to truly love inside and out i just want tarkov to be as hard as possible while maintaining some level of being approachable for its intended audience. Scavs are a beloved part of the game for me i love the concept of defending my homeland from invaders who wish me and my comrades harm it adds a nice level of complexity to combat and i feel that only makes the game that more unique. Right now i feel like its balanced well enough to function as intended for supplying your pmc but i honestly want more interesting engagements and adventures as a scavenger and i want to feel like the good guy when ever possible because at the moment i feel like all scavs are inherently evil and just want to steal my tuna fish and toz. Plus what happens if say your fighting a PMC and a stray round hits and kills a scav? or you throw a grenade to clear a room and a scav is killed? I do alot of scav matches to get rich, buy m4a1's for pmc & deck them out.. Secondly..... Some sort of penalty for killing a fellow scav player would be amazing. Because noobs coming in, shooting me whilst i am engaging a player... A duo scav crew decided i was an enemy starts shooting at me, without realizing that i was facing & stalking a geared player.. They shot at me, hit me a few times, injured me bad., I healed & survived just to watch them both get destroyed by a mp7. I had an sks, he walked up to loot them & i 1 tapped him. Simple. Work together. There should be a penalty! Thirdly, make scav matches more enjoyable by NOT adding useless guns to there loot pool... For example,... No BP OR BS rounds in your ak's you get, but on the map they have spawned BP aks-74u. I don't get it.... But add a m80 round FAL, but more commonly now, mosin, vepr hunter with M61 rounds!!! Motzy Posted May 28, 2019 Share Posted May 28, 2019 i think the main problem with scav on scav violence is that im punished for DEFENDING MYSELF. ive been shot a dozen times today only as my scav in factory. im fine with fighting against asshole player scavs who just wnat to kill everyone without them knowing. but in the rare chance their aimbot doesnt hit my sqaure in the head, or they DONT use their ESP to track me across factory as i try to relocate and reposition. i think itd be nice for the AI to shoot THEM instantly, rather than instantly wheeling on ME everytime i land a hit on them. ive been fighting all day today and yesterday, testing this as a scav player, ill get engaged through no fault of my own, have to defend myself, while multiple AI scavs are wandering around the area, often directly next to me and the other player scav. the player scav shoots me, and im injured or killed. the ai do N O T H I N G. they just ignore it. but if im lucky enough to hip fire a shot into the other player scav, im immediately shot by every other scav in the vicinity. this has happened a hundred or probably more times in the entirety of my tarkov career.. ive been wondering why its never fixed. so today im asking for some kind of change. dont punish scav on scav violence. but punish the instigators of it as they should be. not by means of deleting accounts or anything moderator based. but by the AI doing what they would in reality. a scav is a person lacking allegiance, but clearly, they are acting as a collective group when they are in large numbers wandering around the map. some will start shooting other scavs, and the completely rational reaction is they are ousted from the scavs in the region and hunted down and killed. which is not happening as of now. they get away, while i get punished for self defense, it makes literally no sense that this mechanic is so backwards and nonfunctional. it rewards the pieces of poo who pretend to be a scav and murder players who are hoping to enjoy combat, but get one tapped by a guy acting like an AI to wait until you are alone and headshot you, or turning down your invitation to team up against players via QE, and just shooting you without warning. or camping at a ridiculous angle or position, and just killing you because youre not hiding youre a player. none of these assholes are getting their fun ruined. ive watched as my scav dies, AI scavs just stand there and walk away after im shot INFRONT OF THEM. i like tarkov. but it needs alot of work, pls address this problem. i want to have fun while in factory, but instant death 9/10 scav raids is not really very fun. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
