Scav bug got me killed

Note: This was my first game as a PMC, so cut me some slack on not knowing terms etc. So I was using my PMC and I come across some scav AI's. I shoot at one and he doesn't go down. He doesn't even act like he got hit. Then I notice that although he is in a walking animation he is just standing still. I assume "Ok, probably just a bug." I can't hurt him, he can't hurt me, right? Nope he them starts to shoot back while still being in the same place. His animation didn't change, nor did I even hear a sound. His model was still just stuck in the walking animation while I was taking hits from where he actually was on the server. I moved away after being pretty shot up only to see another AI (again just walking in place), and he kills me. I have no idea what caused the bug, but I was super annoyed that I couldn't even fight back. Any ideas on how this happened, or how to prevent it?

Sounds like Server dsync. Unfortunately the only way to prevent it is to relaunch the game if synchronization fails it affects all models on the map including players. And the only way you know they this bug is present is by knowing something is moving but not seeing it move which is impossible unless you're in a group.

Next time it happens and you notice scavs walking in place I'd find the closet small closet/secured and obscure spot and alt f4 and relaunch the game.

Scavs seem to have kevlar under their skin. No armor and still takes 16 shots to the body. They shoot through walls and doors. Sometimes it seems like they have unnatural hearing. Some times they behave like retards, standing infront of you taking shots, waiting for you to reload and take more shots. Other times they empty a clip into your head in less than a second.

But in your case it seems yo had some de-sync or lag. but i did encounter a scav just standing, looking in the air. I emptied a clip in him from a meter away, so i 100% hit every shot, and nothing happened. Didn't move at all even after 20min, but still moaned after getting shot.

The game is beta after all, but stuff like this should be fixed ages ago. Just like the ip ban bug where alot of people couldnt login/register.

Not to mention they seem to sometimes fully ignore armor on the player. i always do the ''take armour out of backpack thing to avoid the armour bug which should be fixed but i don't think it is fully. and sometimes i die with gen 4 to a single shot in the chest from a scav/raider.
